Membership Guidelines

The guidelines are intended for those who wish to become a member of the Armenian Institute of Directors (AIOD). To make the process of becoming a member of AIOD more accessible, below is presented the most important information related to the membership. Armenian Institute of Directors membership classes and criteria

Depending on the professional experience, Armenian Institute of Directors offers two membership options:

  1. Member
  2. Associate Member.

Membership is open to any person who:

  • has at least 10 years of experience as a Director or
  • has at least 7 years of experience as a Director, took part in the courses organized by the Institute and is an associate member for at least 3 years.

Associate membership is open to any person who:

  • is 24 years old and
  • has at least 3 years of experience as a Director.

Restrictions on AIOD membership:

A person may not become a member of the Institute who:

  • is considered by the court decision as disabled or partially disabled,
  • is convicted of intentional crime and the conviction is not removed or eliminated.

Definition of the Director

For purposes of AIOD activities, the following person is considered to be a “Director”:

  • A member of the Board of Directors (Board) of the legal entity,
  • The sole executive officer of the legal entity, his deputy,
  • A member of the collegial executive body of the legal entity,
  • The head of the territorial and structural subdivisions of the legal entity,
  • Corporate secretary,
  • Lawyer and compliance (internal monitoring) employee.

Membership fees

The following annual membership fees are set for members and associate members of the AIOD:

  1. AMD 50,000 – for Members,
  2. AMD 30,000 – for associate members
